Protecting personal data in banking operations.

In response to the increasing demands for legal compliance and customer data protection in the digital age, the Vietnam Banking Association (VNBA) is organizing an intensive training course on "Personal Data Security in Banking Operations," scheduled to take place in Hanoi on March 21, 2026 and in Ho Chi Minh City on March 28, 2026.

In the context of rapid digital transformation, personal data is increasingly becoming a core asset for credit institutions, while also posing numerous risks of leakage and breach. To equip bank staff with up-to-date legal knowledge and practical skills for handling and protecting personal data, the Vietnam Banking Association is coordinating a one-day, in-person training program.

The program comprises six sections, progressing from theory to practice. Participants will gain an understanding of the Personal Data Protection Law 2025, Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, specialized regulations in the Law on Credit Institutions 2024, biometric authentication according to Decision 2345/QD-NHNN, and applicable international standards in the banking sector. Specifically, the program dedicates significant time to practical exercises, including techniques for detecting data leaks via OSINT, monitoring the Darkweb and Telegram, and simulating incident response according to the NIST framework.

The instructor is Mr. Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC) – a cybersecurity expert, Director of the Anti-Fraud Project, and holder of international certifications in computer crime investigation and information intelligence analysis.

The course is aimed at leaders and staff in Operations, Risk Management, Information Security, Legal Compliance, Card Centers, and Data Management at credit institutions.

Registration deadline: before March 18, 2026.
