About the Event

Vietnam has been one of the world’s fastest-growing economies in recent years and a major beneficiary of supply-chain diversification away from China. Fitch has upgraded Vietnam’s sovereign rating three times since 2014 to reflect a steady improvement in the country’s credit profile relative to peers. The government is now rolling out a series of reforms. This includes a growing focus on the private sector to lead development, new leadership appointments across agencies to drive changes, and the streamlining of administrative structures to enhance efficiency. Despite these potentially positive developments, challenges remain from rising trade tensions, dependence on foreign direct investment, and high leverage. Nevertheless, Fitch believes these near-term pressures are unlikely to affect Vietnam’s medium-term prospects.
How should issuers, investors and other market participants navigate Vietnam’s evolving landscape and credit markets? Hear from Fitch Ratings’ senior analysts and other thought leaders as they gather to discuss these topics and more at Fitch on Vietnam 2025.
