VietBank signed a strategic partnership agreement with KPMG

VietBank signed a strategic partnership agreement with KPMG in Vietnam on February 25 to launch the 'Transformation and Project Management Office Support' initiative.

The collaboration represents a significant milestone in VietBank’s commitment to optimising project management, enhancing operational efficiency, and accelerating its digital transformation.

VietBank experienced significant growth last year, increasing its charter capital to VND7.14 trillion ($280 million) and expanding its network with 14 new branches and transaction offices, bringing the total number of service points nationwide to 132. As the bank continues to scale its operations, there is a growing need for a structured transformation framework and professional project management.

Signing ceremony

To address this, one of the key initiatives under the strategic partnership between the two organisations is the establishment of a Transformation Management Office. The office will be jointly designed, developed, and operated to ensure that critical projects and initiatives are managed efficiently and align with the bank’s strategy.

VietBank is confident that its partnership with KPMG will provide a solid foundation for executing strategic projects in a structured and effective manner.

At the signing ceremony, Nguyen Huu Trung, deputy head of Strategy and Transformation Committee at VietBank, said, "This collaboration will enhance our internal operational processes and improve workforce productivity across all departments while significantly elevating service quality. VietBank aims to deliver modern financial products that meet diverse customer needs while providing the best possible service experience."

Ross Macallister, managing partner and head of Consulting, KPMG in Vietnam

Ross Macallister, managing partner and head of Consulting at KPMG in Vietnam, said, "We are honoured to support VietBank in this strategic initiative. KPMG is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that will enable VietBank to achieve its strategic goals and strengthen its competitive position in the banking sector."

This strategic partnership agreement could serve as a solid foundation for VietBank's future expansion, enabling it to develop a diverse range of products and services tailored to the evolving needs of both individual and corporate clients.
