Shinhan Bank and Visa Launch Click to Pay, Enhancing the Online Payment Experience

Ho Chi Minh City, August 28, 2026 – Shinhan Bank Vietnam Limited ("Shinhan Bank") in collaboration with Visa (“Visa”), has launched Click to Pay, a modern online payment solution that enables Shinhan Visa cardholders to make payments quickly, conveniently and securely without having to re-enter their card details for every transaction.

Click to Pay – Simplified Payments, Seamless Experience

With Click to Pay, cardholders no longer need to remember or repeatedly enter their full card details when shopping online. After registering and verifying their information at a Click to Pay-enabled merchant, cardholders can complete transactions in just a few simple steps on websites and online platforms that support the service.

Card information is protected by Visa Network Token technology, which replaces card details with a token during the payment process. This mechanism helps limit the direct sharing of card information with merchants, strengthens data security and mitigates the risk of fraud in online transactions, while maintaining a fast and convenient payment experience for customers.

As Visa’s online payment standard being widely adopted across multiple markets, Click to Pay can be used across a broad range of participating websites and online platforms, enabling customers to enjoy a consistent payment experience across different devices and shopping channels.

Expanding the Digital Payment Experience with Visa

The continued growth of e-commerce is driving demand for payment methods that combine speed, convenience and security. As shopping behavior increasingly shifts to digital channels, the payment process has also become an important part of the overall customer experience.

The launch of Click to Pay in collaboration with Visa is part of Shinhan Bank’s direction to introduce international payment technologies and standards into its service ecosystem in Vietnam. Through this initiative, the Bank is expanding the connectivity of Shinhan Visa cards with new payment methods, responding to evolving ways in which customers access and use financial services in the digital environment.

The collaboration with Visa also enables Shinhan Bank to access and adopt payment solutions being deployed across multiple markets, thereby progressively strengthening its card and payment service capabilities in Vietnam. This initiative forms part of the Bank’s long-term direction to develop its payment ecosystem in line with accelerating digitalization and the continued growth of e-commerce.
