Shinhan Finance brings hope and support to students in An Giang and Quang Ngai

On May 22, 2026, Shinhan Finance hosted a community outreach program under the theme “Sharing Love – Receiving Smiles” at Bui Thi Xuan Primary School (Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province) and Nghia Ky Nam Primary School (Quang Ngai Province).

The program is part of Shinhan Finance’s broader community initiatives, aimed at promoting humanistic values while supporting local communities through practical efforts focused on education and the development of future generations.

Since the first activity was initiated in 2024, the program has consistently delivered positive impact across communities nationwide through educational support, community care, and initiatives assisting disadvantaged groups. Along this journey, Shinhan Finance remains committed to sustainable development, positioning social responsibility as a core pillar in its long-term engagement with Vietnamese communities.

A distinctive feature of this community initiative is its locally driven approach, with programs proactively proposed and implemented by regional business teams. With their close connection to and deep understanding of each locality, these teams possess invaluable insights into community circumstances as well as the practical needs on the ground. This strong local engagement enables initiatives to be delivered in ways that are relevant, impactful, and create lasting value for the communities they serve. Each gift prepared for this program reflects the care and dedication of Shinhan Finance employees. Beyond material support, these contributions carry heartfelt encouragement, genuine compassion, and a strong sense of belief—sent collectively by the organization to inspire students as they continue their pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.

At Bui Thi Xuan Primary School in An Giang Province, representatives from the An Giang Service Introduction Point presented 70 gift sets, including backpacks, notebooks, and essential school supplies, to underprivileged students. While modest in value, these gifts carry meaningful encouragement, helping students approach the new academic year with confidence and continue nurturing their dreams.

Branch, together with the Quang Ngai Service Introduction Point team, presented 10 bicycles and 15 educational support packages to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The program is expected to help ease students’ journeys to school, creating better conditions for them to focus on learning and pursue their future development with greater confidence.

Sharing at the event, representative of Shinhan Finance emphasized that this initiative reaffirms the company’s long-term commitment to investing in education and community development. In this regard, children and education remain among the top priorities in Shinhan Finance’s corporate social responsibility journey in Vietnam.

Over nearly seven years of presence in the Vietnamese market, Shinhan Finance has implemented numerous meaningful community programs across provinces and cities nationwide. These include donating bookshelves to libraries, providing educational materials to children in SOS Villages, and supporting students, the elderly, women, and other vulnerable groups, alongside various community-focused initiatives. Such efforts not only deliver practical support but also contribute to fostering compassion and strengthening shared social values.

As part of the “Sharing Love – Receiving Smiles” journey, the program has reached multiple locations across the country, including Da Nang, Thai Nguyen, Ca Mau, and border-area schools in Thanh Hoa Province, supporting underprivileged yet determined students. Each stop brings not only essential resources but also encouragement and inspiration, empowering students to stay resilient and committed to their educational paths.

Through these ongoing community initiatives, Shinhan Finance aims to further promote a spirit of sharing, contribute positively to society, and help build a sustainable foundation for Vietnam’s younger generation. Looking ahead, the company will continue to expand impactful social programs across local communities nationwide, with the goal of creating long-lasting value for society.
