The aution was based on the Circular No. 06/2013/TT-NHNN dated March 12, 2013 and the Decision No. 563/QĐ-NHNN dated March 18, 2013 by the SBV's Governor.
There were 3,400 taels sold out with the total bid volume of 16,800 taels. The highest winning bid reached 81.33 million VND/tael (US$3,195) and the lowest winning bid price was 81.32 million VND/tael. These winning bid prices exceeded the SBV's starting price by 620,000 - 630,000 VND per tael.
There were seven banks and four enterprises taking part in the first gold bullion auction held on Tuesday morning, March 23, 2024 in Hà Nội.
The gold bullion auction intended to hold on April 22 but postponed due to insufficient registered bidders and shortages of deposits transferred in accordance with regulations.
