There have been instances of individuals or groups producing forged documents bearing the VNBA's official logo, seal, and the signatures of our leaders, with the intent to defraud and appropriate assets.

Strengthening financial crime prevention capacity with data
On May 20, 2025, the Vietnam Banking Association (VNBA) in collaboration with LUCID Company organized the Seminar “The Importance of data in the fight against financial crime”. The event aimed to raise awareness, update trends and share experiences among financial institutions, regulators and domestic and international experts on the strategic role of data in detecting and preventing financial crimes.

Amending to the Circular on granting licenses to credit institutions
The Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) has just sent an official dispatch to the General Directors of member organizations asking for opinions on the draft Circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Circular regulating the dossiers and procedures for granting first-time licenses to commercial banks, foreign bank branches and foreign representative offices, and non-bank credit institutions.
