VNBA Council successfully holds the 8th meeting of its 7th term
The Council of the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) successfully convened the 8th Meeting of its 7th term on December 18, 2025, in Hanoi. The meeting reviewed the Association’s activities in 2025, discussed key orientations and tasks for 2026, and deliberated preparations for the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Banks Association, along with several matters under the Council’s authority.

VNBA holds meeting to gather feedback for finalising cross-border QR code payment handbook
On the morning of November 17 2025, the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) convened a drafting committee meeting for the “Unified Handbook for Providing Cross-Border QR Payment Services in Vietnam” (the Handbook) in order to solicit and incorporate feedback from more than 25 entities, including banks, finance companies, and payment intermediaries.

SBV asks banks to support storm-hit customers
Under Document 951/NHNN-TD issued on Tuesday, SBV has asked commercial banks, branches of foreign banks and SBV’s regional offices in areas affected by storms to promptly restore operations and support affected customers.
