The 5th Annual Conference, Term VII of the Vietnam Banks Association is coming soon

On March 27, 2025, the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) will hold its 5th Annual Conference, term VII, to summarize and evaluate the results after one year of implementing tasks, and at the same time jointly develop tasks to be performed in 2025.

With the motto of closely following the direction of the Government, the tasks of the banking sector and the Resolution of the Association Council, in 2024, VNBA has thoroughly grasped the goals and directions of operations, comprehensively innovated all aspects of work, unanimously and closely worked with member organizations, promptly proposed appropriate adaptation measures, overcome difficulties, remove obstacles, called on members in general and commercial banks in particular to comply with the provisions of law and seriously and responsibly implement the direction of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam to support businesses, maintain stable operations, contribute to stabilizing the macro economy and controlling inflation.

At the end of 2024, Vietnam Banks Association has completed its comprehensive tasks, actively contributing to the overall success of the banking sector.

In particular, the Association continues to pay special attention to and actively promote the implementation of comments on policies and mechanisms related to the banking sector through organizing many seminars, discussions, sending written comments, etc. The Association's comments based on the collection of dedicated and quality opinions from its members have been largely recognized and accepted by the drafting agencies. The Association has also performed well in its role of protecting the legitimate rights and interests, as well as supporting the timely removal of obstacles for member organizations. During the year, the Association sent more than 30 documents to competent authorities (National Assembly, Supreme People's Court, State Bank of Vietnam, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Finance, etc.), recommending/proposing to remove outstanding obstacles and shortcomings of member organizations during their operations.

Communication activities through the Financial and Monetary Market Magazine (print and online) and the Association's Website have contributed significantly to the dissemination of the State's legal policies and the banking industry, as well as the activities of member organizations and the Association's Standing Agency. Thereby, helping society better understand and sympathize with banking activities.

Training activities have also achieved many positive results, the Association has grasped and implemented training programs that are close to the actual training needs of member organizations.

International cooperation activities have recorded the imprints of the Standing Agency. During the year, the Association has worked with many international delegations to exchange, listen and support international organizations to connect with management agencies and member organizations in Vietnam, contributing to expanding the ability to seek cooperation opportunities, bringing benefits to member organizations.

In 2025, VNBA determines to focus on performing tasks at the highest level, excellently and comprehensively completing the set goals, contributing to the overall development of the banking industry, as well as promoting the country's socio-economic development.
