On June 6, 2025, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam signed and issued Circular No. 07/2025/TT-NHNN regulating special control over credit institutions.
Circular No. 07/2025/TT-NHNN was issued with 04 Articles, including: (i) amending and supplementing several contents to conform to the organizational structure, functions and tasks of units under the State Bank of Vietnam after being reorganized according to the provisions of Decree No. 26/2025/ND-CP dated February 24, 2025 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam; (ii) supplementing regulations and instructions on the procedures for the State Bank of Vietnam to decide to reduce the entire charter capital of a specially controlled commercial bank whose compulsory transfer plan has been approved by the State Bank of Vietnam, specifically as follows:
- Article 1: Amending and supplementing several articles of Circular No. 39/2024/TT-NHNN.
- Article 2: Supplementing, replacing, and abolishing some phrases of Circular No. 39/2024/TT-NHNN.
- Article 3: Responsibility for implementation.
- Article 4: Implementation provisions.
The Circular takes effect from June 6, 2025./.
