Prosperity and Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PGBank), formerly known as Dong Thap Muoi Rural Commercial Joint Stock Bank, was established on November 13, 1993 with an initial charter capital of 700 million VND. Then, in 2007, PGBank changed its name to Petrolimex Petroleum Commercial Joint Stock Bank for the first time and has continuously grown, gradually building trust with customers. December 2023 marks an important milestone for PGBank entering a new phase of transformation and breakthrough by changing its brand identity and new name, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Prosperity and Development. Through 2 name changes and a 30-year journey, from its starting point as a small-scale local financial institution, PGBank has had a strong transformation towards a modern digital banking symbol and a common commitment in A journey of companionship for mutual success.

Products and Services

PGBank provides a comprehensive range of traditional banking products and services, including deposit and lending products, cross-border remittance service, trade financing, card-related services (Flexicard), Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and insurance products. In addition, the Bank has also put great effort in developing and offering customers more diversified and advanced financial products and services, notably corporate finance and commodity derivatives.

Information System

The Internet Banking service and Mobile Banking App of PGBank have been enhancing continuously in recent years, allowing customers to conveniently make banking transactions on the Bank’s portal with personal information being kept at strictest confidential. To ensure best support possible to all the operations of the Bank, in recent years PGBank has invested heavily on the information system. At the moment, PGBank is utilizing FlexCube, the corebanking system provided by Oracle while using the advanced information security system developed by Checkpoint.

Network

PGBank has a total of 18 branches and 64 transaction offices operating in provinces and cities across the country with nearly 2,000 employees. The Bank's headquarters is located in Hanoi Capital. In the coming time, to more conveniently serve customers in many new areas, PGBank will increase the number of branches and transaction offices nationwide. Along with that, all PGBank transaction points will be upgraded and apply a typical floor model according to the new brand identity. More spacious and modern branches and transaction offices promise to contribute to bringing a more convenient and modern transaction experience to customers.

Correspondent Bank Network

PGBank has increasingly developed correspondent relations with more Financial Institutions all over the world. Up to now, PGBank has established correspondent relations with about 200 banks all over the world. This enables the Bank to meet the demand for L/C notification to all related countries which have export-import relation with Vietnam.
