VNBA opens training course on risk identification and cyber security

On July 26, 2025, the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) will organize an online training course on "Methods of identifying IT risks, Cybersecurity (ANM) & Building an ANM Architecture Framework according to international standards", to support Banks and financial institutions to improve their IT risk management capacity and protect digital assets.

Faced with increasingly complex challenges regarding information security in the financial and banking sector, identifying risks and building an effective cyber security architecture framework has become a top priority. Therefore, VNBA organizes a training course aimed at helping staff at banks and financial institutions understand and apply cyber security strategies. Building a security architecture framework to protect digital assets of banks and organizations.

The training course is aimed at leaders and staff of Blocks/Departments such as: Digital Banking Block; Information Technology Block; Network Security; Operations Block; Risk Management Block in banks and Fintech companies; and other interested parties.

The training course will focus on teaching the following contents: Security Management, Risk & Assurance (NIST, CSA and ISO information security standards, PCS DSS); Security Management Framework (identification, information identification; protection measures, incident detection & response, system administration and recovery); Security Orientation and Information Security Strategy; Information Risk Management and Security Assurance Program; Security Architecture (SA) building method;

Example (EY’s CPA & Big4 Consulting); SA detailed components; Border Security (Firewalls, attack detection and prevention systems, denial of service attack prevention, application-level firewalls, websites, border access control); Network Security (Firewalls protecting network subsystems, network access control, data loss prevention systems, etc.);

Endpoint Security (Workstation firewalls, file integrity monitoring systems, patch updates; data encryption solutions); Application Security and Data Security (application-level firewalls, data, classification, data monitoring; data encryption and integrity monitoring); Policy, Risk Management & SOC/NOC Monitoring; Discussion.

The lecturer is Mr. Dao Ngoc Quynh - Head of Cyber Security Consulting Services, E&Y Auditing Company, who is also an architect and lecturer, providing strategic consulting, architectural guidance and in-depth training in various areas of cyber security at many leading organizations.

Specifically, the training course will officially take place in the morning from 08:30 to 12:00 and in the afternoon from 13:30 to 17:00, on July 26, 2025 (Saturday).

-Trainees from VNBA member organizations attending the training course will pay a tuition fee of VND 500,000/trainee.

-Trainees from the other organiztions will pay the tuition fee of VND 1,000,000/trainee.

Units with trainees attending the training will pay tuition fees by transferring to account number: 8630050308 at BIDV Bank - Transaction Office Branch I; Account holder name: Vietnam Banking Association. Payment content: Unit name - payment of tuition fees for the training course held on/month/year (For example: BIDV Branch SGD I pays tuition fees for the training course on July 26, 2025). Payment time after the staff attends and receives the invoice from the Vietnam Banks Association.
