Agribank and MobiFone cooperate comprehensively, promoting digital transformation

On May 12, 2025, in Hanoi, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) and MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation had a working session to evaluate the results of cooperation in the past time, and at the same time discuss the strategic cooperation orientation in the coming time.

The meeting between Agribank and MobiFone demonstrated their determination to accompany each other in digital transformation, affirming their commitment to long-term strategic cooperation, contributing to building a digital ecosystem serving people and businesses.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Pham Toan Vuong - Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Agribank emphasized: “In the context of the digital economy that is increasingly taking shape, both Agribank and MobiFone possess their own strengths and abundant resources. The two sides have great potential to expand cooperation comprehensively, bringing practical values, especially in the fields of digital banking, technology, database and information security”.

MobiFone General Director To Manh Cuong, Member of the Board of Members of MobiFone, highly appreciated the effectiveness of cooperation between the two units since 2019. On that basis, he expressed his hope that cooperation in the coming period will not only stop at traditional services but also expand to new, breakthrough areas such as digital banking, digital credit, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), security and integrated digital platforms.

The leaders of the two sides agreed to prioritize the deployment of high-tech products, improving user experience, especially for individual and corporate customers. Cooperation directions include developing co-branded products, cross-selling services, integrating financial - telecommunications ecosystems, applying AI, recognition cameras and online training, etc., in line with Agribank's digital transformation strategy.

Agribank's Deputy General Directors expressed their desire to expand non-cash payments, develop e-wallets and integrate digital services based on traditional strengths. Agribank also proposed cooperation in exploiting international payments, taking advantage of the global partner network and typical products such as Loc Viet cards to develop cross-border financial services with MobiFone.

Concluding the meeting, Agribank General Director Pham Toan Vuong and MobiFone General Director To Manh Cuong agreed to review all cooperation contents, prepare to sign a number of specific agreements, and prioritize the implementation of product groups with high availability. The specialized focal units of the two sides will coordinate to build a clear roadmap and cooperation methods, ensuring optimal efficiency.
