The CO-OPERATIVE BANK OF VIETNAM is formerly known as the Central People’s Credit Fund- which was established on 5th August 1995 and transformed into the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam in accordance with License No. 166/GP-NHNN dated on 4th June 2013 by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Co-opBank is a co-operative credit institution which assists and increases the efficiency in the operation of the PCF system. It is the centre of system which plays the role of capital intermediation.
– PCFs are credit institutions established by individuals and households voluntarily under co-operatives to perform banking operations in accordance with the Law on credit institutions and Law on co-operatives in order to mainly support each other in business and production development and livelihood improvement.
– Co-opBank is the Bank of all PCFs, jointly owned by PCFs and other legal entities in accordance with the Law on credit institutions in order to mainly integrate the network and provide financial support and capital intermediation to PCFs.
– Co-opBank has partnered with a number of domestic and international organizations.
– There are 2 centres, which are: Training Centre and Information Technology Centre
– Co-opBank is a member of the Vietnam Association of People’s Credit Fund (VAPCF) and the Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU)
– Co-opBank constantly improves existing products and services and develops new products to meet customers’ highest demands.

– Manage the PCFs’ Safetu Fund in accordance with the States’ regulation
