VNBA leader got the "21st Century Pioneer Leader in Innovation Award"

On May 8, 2025, the Global Science and Economy Forum (GSEF 2025) took place in Dubai, UAE. This event brought together hundreds of leaders, scholars, experts and entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries around the world because it is not only a forum on science and economics but also a place to share strategic initiatives and solutions to promote sustainable growth in the context of global fluctuations.

At this event, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Banks Association - was honored to receive the "21st Century Pioneer Leader in Innovation Award". Also honored with Dr. Hung were H.E. Yaqoob Al Ali – Executive Director and Special Advisor to the Office of His Highness Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum (UAE), and Dr. Rashmi Saluja – President of the Global Trade & Technology Council India.

During the event, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung presented an important speech revolving around topics such as financial security, digital transformation in the banking industry, and the adaptability of the Vietnamese economy to global challenges. He emphasized the key role of the financial and banking system in maintaining macroeconomic stability and promoting comprehensive growth, especially in the era of digital technology and artificial intelligence.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the finance and banking sector and holding many leadership positions at the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the State Bank of Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung is one of the pioneers in promoting institutional reform, improving risk management capacity, and promoting the application of technology in banking activities. His sharing at GSEF is not only realistic but also reflects the strategic vision of the Vietnamese financial system in the flow of global integration.
