The programme brought together management and employees from Shinhan Bank Vietnam, Shinhan Finance Vietnam, Shinhan Securities Vietnam, Shinhan Life Vietnam and Shinhan DS Vietnam. This marks the fourth year that the member companies have participated together, putting the “One Shinhan” spirit into practice through meaningful community support.

Each donated bicycle helps students travel to school more independently, eases the difficulties of their daily journey and reduces transportation costs for their families. Through the programme, the member companies hope to give students greater confidence and encouragement to continue their education, pursue their dreams and look towards the future.

“Bike Run” is an annual corporate social responsibility programme launched by Shinhan Bank Vietnam in 2015. To date, it has donated more than 1,513 bicycles to disadvantaged students across Vietnam. The participation of member companies in recent years has helped extend this spirit of giving while creating opportunities for management and employees to contribute together to the communities where Shinhan operates.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ryu Je Eun, CEO and General Director of Shinhan Bank Vietnam, said: “We believe education creates opportunities for every student to build a better future. Through this programme, we hope to help ensure that transportation difficulties do not stand in the way of their education. Each bicycle carries the care and encouragement of the Shinhan team, motivating students to keep attending school and pursuing their dreams. The collective efforts of our member companies also embody the ‘One Shinhan’ spirit – working together to bring tangible value to our communities.”

Alongside business development, Shinhan Financial Group member companies in Vietnam place a strong emphasis on social responsibility, reinforcing their long-term commitment to the country. Shinhan Bank Vietnam continues to carry out programmes such as “Bike Run”, clean water system installations for children and the “Shinhan – For a Greener Vietnam” tree-planting programme, supporting education, improving living conditions and protecting the environment.

Guided by the mission of creating “A Better World through Finance”, the member companies continue to bring the “One Shinhan” spirit to their community initiatives, pooling resources to extend practical support to more people. “Bicycles of Love” forms part of this commitment, supporting Vietnam’s younger generation on their journey to school today and towards greater opportunities in the future.
