The program took place on June 14 and 15, 2025, directed by the State Bank of Vietnam (“SBV”) and coordinated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper and NAPAS to organize and implement. After 6 years of implementation, the “Cashless Day” program has spread the message and positive values of cashless payments, contributing to shaping and strengthening payment habits for people and businesses.

At Nguyen Hue walking street, the “Cashless 2025” event series with many different areas vividly recreated a smart cashless society through interesting experiential activities at the booths of participating units, along with a variety of shopping and entertainment activities - applying convenient cashless payment solutions. The event attracted more than 120,000 visitors to visit and experience.

Accompanying the above event, Shinhan Bank brought a special experience space right at the Ting Ting Wow area, attracting many visitors. Customers experienced outstanding digital financial services/products, especially convenient financial solutions developed by the Bank in collaboration with Visa and introduced to the SME customer segment. In addition, visitors had the opportunity to participate in minigames to receive thousands of gifts, along with attractive incentive programs.

In particular, within the framework of Cashless Day 2025 held on the morning of June 14, 2025 at Rex Hotel, District 1, representatives from Shinhan Bank and Visa also participated in the Workshop with the theme "Cashless payment promotes digital economy", sharing experiences in promoting cashless payment solutions in developed countries, typically in Korea. The speakers also emphasized the role of cooperation between financial institutions, technology and the government in building a modern and safe payment infrastructure, to encourage consumers to change their spending habits. Shinhan Bank and Visa have had a sustainable partnership in developing innovative and safe payment solutions through convenient card lines, optimally meeting customers' cashless payment transaction needs, especially in the digital transformation era. In recent years, the two sides have also cooperated to promote diverse payment methods for the SME customer segment, typically the event of launching two Visa credit card lines specifically for SME customers, business owners and private enterprises, including: Shinhan SME and Shinhan Business Owners. Both of these card lines focus on the attractive bonus point accumulation feature, up to 5% for valid transactions, while providing customers with outstanding benefits through premium privileges such as: free Fast Track turns, providing premium pick-up and drop-off experiences for VIP customers at airports nationwide, visa privileges to enter Korea, International Travel Insurance up to 12 billion VND, along with countless incentives at more than 200 Shinhan Zone partners in a variety of fields such as shopping, dining, education, beauty, health care, etc.

In 2025, Shinhan Bank also deployed POS payment services, accepting a variety of payment methods, including: cards (Visa, MasterCard, NAPAS), contactless payments (NFC) and payments via QR codes. This service helps businesses and business households improve business efficiency, reduce cash management costs and limit risks related to manual operations.
